For sports fans looking past March Madness betting towards the MLB, we’d like to ask if you are thinking of making parlay bets this season? If you answered yes, then we commend you for taking on this risky challenge. Parlays have become a staple of the sports betting industry, as they require a small amount of money for an extremely large payout. If all goes right, you could go from risking two dollars, to making $20,000 with the result of a single bet. Today we’ll be showing you how to bet baseball parlays. If you are unfamiliar with what a parlay actually is, all you need to know, is that a parlay is a single wager, which takes into account the result of multiple games. The more teams added to your parlay, the higher amount of money you stand to win. For instance, if you make a three team parlay, you can win three times the amount of a single wager. However, in order for your bet to win, all three teams must win, but if one team wins and the other two lose, or one loses and two win, your bet is still considered a loss. One of the most common questions we are asked by new bettors, is how do MLB parlays differ from NFL parlays? Essentially, in an MLB parlay, the amount you win in the first stage of your wager, is carried over and put on the second team in your wager, depending on how many teams are in your parlay. For example, if you take the New York Mets at – 200 over the Philadelphia Phillies and the Toronto Blue Jays + 180 over the New York Yankees, you are making a two team parlay. In order to win your $50 two team parlay, the $50 is put on the Mets to beat the Phillies, and then the $50 becomes $75 and it is placed on the Blue Jays. If the Jays win, then you will receive $157.50 but if they lose the parlay is a loss. |
