Baseball Free Agents To Avoid PDF Print E-mail

With baseball betting winter meetings right around the corner, shandor northbet fans are beginning to speculate on where all of the free agents will end up. For the online betting enthusiast looking for free agents for their team to avoid, here are three that we recommend your team stay away from.

  • Andy Pettitte P - The career Yankee spent a couple of seasons in Houston in what is seen by many as a failed experiment for the big right hander. At 38 years old, Pettitte wants to stay with the Yankees. But he wants to do so as a starting pitcher and continues to refuse to pitch out of the bullpen. After years of service for the Yankees as a starting pitcher, Pettitte may be looking for a new team as the Yankees look to rebuild their starting rotation after a disastrous 2010 season. Team's looking to sign the career Yankee should probably look elsewhere.
  • Adam Dunn 1B / DH - Although Dunn was signed earlier this week, we hope your favorite team was not the Chicago White Sox. In one of the early moves of the 2010 baseball offseason that has us scratching our heads, the White Sox paid $56 million for four years of Adam Dunn.

Putting this into perspective, you can see our confusion, as Dunn has played on exactly four different teams in the last two years. What's more, three seasons ago a GM for a team he was considering said he was lazy and strikes out to much. Now that Dunn has played on four different teams since those comments, that GM may have been on to something. Don't expect Dunn to spend his entire four year contract with the White Sox.

  • Manny Ramirez OF/ DH - The MLB's ultimate problem child, entering his late 30s, Ramirez is all about one thing, pleasing himself. After guiding the Boston Red Sox to two World Series, Ramirez was traded to the LA Dodgers, in one of the ugliest breakups in baseball history. After a year and a half with the Dodgers, Ramirez was picked up off waivers by the Chicago White Sox. Between the two clubs he hit only 42 RBI. Stay away from Manny if you want to compete.
